Archlight Sieges will be Archlight's first true Expansion. What this means is no, there will NOT be a reset for this. Instead of our usual patches, we decided to do a massive single patch in the form of an expansion. This patch will include Siege Wars, 2 New Professions, Player Progression Capp Increased, Changes to Housing/Guildhall Rent, the Catch-Up Mechanic Increased, Azmar Forgotten Island + World Boss Released and Warlord Weapons Released.

We cant say how excited we are on this Expansion, our team has been hard at work preparing all the moving pieces for this. It's been insane to see how over 4 months into an Era our daily login count is still very strong and high, still higher than Launch day. Its going to be massive, so pick who your enemy is, and who your allies are, and prepare for sieges!

Siege Wars
Siege Wars is a new, weekly event coming to Archlight. Each Sunday, Guilds have 24 hours to bid to enter the Siege War, the top 6 highest bidding guilds will receive a position in the Siege. Once the bid has closed at midnight PST, guilds will have 5 days to prepare for the Siege. A bidding guild must have a minimum average power of 4000 and combined power of 40000. 

Siege Wars will take place on a 6 guild war sized map, with 13 Captures points, 4 Graveyards, 4 Small Creature Camps, 2 Large Creature Camps and what many different Viewpoints and Changing World Styles.

Each Guild will have 60 seconds to build their defense for their Capture Point, after which time the event will begin.

Guilds receive 10 Capture Points every 30 seconds that they control a point, increasing for each Capture Point they control. To take over a Capture Point from another guild - players must attack, and/or use siege weapons to destroy the holding statue, by destroying it, theirs will replace it and can now be defended to earn the guild Control Points.

Guilds will receive their share of 150 Siege Tokens based on their placement in the Siege Wars.
1st Place - 50 Siege Tokens
2nd Place - 30 Siege Tokens
3rd Place - 25 Siege Tokens
4th Place - 20 Siege Tokens
5th Place - 15 Siege Tokens
6th Place - 10 Siege Tokens

Siege Tokens can be spent at a shop containing the rarest of rares on Archlight - Including Regrade Keys, Enchantment Scrolls, Legendary Archlight Keys, Awakening Stones and more.

Date & Time: Guild Sieges will take place at 1:00pm PST / 4:00pm EST / 20:00 CEST every Saturday.

Siege Structures & Weapons
Over a dozen Siege Structures & Weapons have been added into Archlight. Full list of Siege Structures and there purposes shown below (These can only be used in Siege Events).

Siege Defenses/Structures
 
Wooden Fence - Constructs a fence with a small amount of health.

Sturdy Wooden Fence - Constructs a fence with a moderate amount of health.
 
Reinforced Wooden Fence - Constructs a fence with a large amount of health.

Caltrops - Caltrops are invisible to opposing guilds - When stepped on, deals 20% of max health / mana (whichever is higher) damage to the target.

Spike Trap - Traps are invisible to opposing guilds - When triggered, deals 50% of max health / mana (whichever is higher) damage to the target.
Fire Trap - Traps are invisible to opposing guilds - When triggered, deals damage to all players in the area for 10% of their max health / mana (whichever is higher) for 5 seconds.
Ice Trap - Traps are invisible to opposing guilds - When triggered, slows all targets in area for 5 seconds by 50%.

Binding Trap - Traps are invisible to opposing guilds - When triggered, binds a target in place for 5 seconds.

Siege Weapons

Ballista - Once placed, this will attack random enemies until it is destroyed.
Catapult - Once placed, the catapult can be used by any player or guild to throw a boulder with a 3 second Hit Box Warning, dealing massive damage to that location.
Battering Ram - Once placed, will deal damage to the tile infront of it for 30 seconds.
Explosive Keg - Once placed, counts down from 5 seconds then explodes, dealing a large amount of damage to tiles around it.
Explosive Barrel - Once placed, counts down from 5 seconds then explodes, dealing a massive amount of damage to tiles around it.

Misc Structure

Capture Statue - This is placed with your guilds color to show possession of a Capture Point. By destroying a Capture Statue, you gain control of it and replace it with your Statue automatically. This is now your capture point to defend.

Woodcutting & Woodworking
Two new professions are being added to Archlight, the first being woodcutting, woodcutting can be used to gather all types of logs, by cutting down specific trees in the Archlight World, these logs can then be processed into Planks. 
Woodworking will allow the crafter to turn planks, ore, and other ingredients/products from other professions to create siege defenses and structures.

Endgame Progression Capps Increased
Weapons and Armors can now be upgraded from +50 to +60 with Relic Upgrade Stones. They can also be used with a higher success rate from +45-+50.
Rune Emblems can now be upgraded to +20 with Relic Rune Stones. They can also be used with a higher success rate from +10-+15.
Soul Runes can now be upgraded to +30 with Relic Soul Stones. They can also be used with a higher success rate from +20-+25.
Stats can now be increased from 120 to 150 with Ancient Stat Stones.
Tier 3 Enchantments can now be created through Alchemy with a required profession level of 100 by merging 3 of the same Tier 2 Enchantments.
PvP Damage Mitigation increased by 20% (This is due to us seeing a growing concern of how quickly players die in lategame pvp content)

Catch-Up Mechanic Increased (Only Equipment)
Catchup Upgrade Stones can now be used to upgrade your Armor or Weapons to +25.

Rent of Houses/Guildhalls Increased
The rent of all houses and guildhalls have been increased by 5x

Bug Fixes
Backpacks used in tanning will not be used as a material unless they are empty

We have added a Messenger-Bot to our Discord. This bot will broadcast when Rifts are opening, Raids are starting, Events are beginning and World Bosses are forming and a few other fun features! This will allow players to be informed while perhaps away from their PC on their phone about an exciting event to login for!

Sarandiel Drops a very rare and powerful companion that gives +4 to all stats.

Friday, May 18th

Sarandiel has left and betrayed us... she regained her power based on a book of lies, acquiring goddess herbs to increase her power. She has begun preparing for her siege on the Forgotten Islands. The Sarandiel Event NPC will be available until this patch goes live at which time she wont be available anymore. 

4 New Amulets Released, Each with 5 Tiers.

Each of these 4 amulets initiate a series of 4 quests to the user. Reaping Amulets will reward the user with either Legendary Archlight Keys, or Regular Archlight Keys for Minor Reaping Amulets upon completion of each quest.
Oblation and Minor Oblation Amulets will evolve from a statless amulet into a powerful necklace after completing all 4 of the required quests and become usable.
After completing any of the quest chains for any of the four amulets, you will also receive a trade-able unique companion token.
Reaping Amulet
6 Living Tokens - Gives 6 Legendary Keys Per Completed Quest (Total of 24) + Receive Guinea Pig Companion Token (Tradable) once quest is completed (+2 All Stats) (This Amulet Breaks once all 4 quests are completed, however you can repeat amulets as many times as you want)

Quest Broadcaster Added
We have recoded the quest broadcaster, it will now be 100% functional and more seamless. This will allow players to broadcast to recruit additional players either to help with their quest, or as a paid quest service.

New Scaling Formula to Awakening Turnin Items
We have restructured the formula to be a much more indepth and complex formula for the awakening turnin experience of items. It will now scale MUCH better at every point in the game, making them very relevant for any point in the game, whether awakening level 7 or 700.

New Boss Mechanics Added (that target ranged players) To:
 
Awakened Cassandra, Awakened Sharptooth, Darksteel Cryptlord, Sharptooth, Cassandra (Voodoo Quest).
This is something we wanted to add for awhile now, but essentially we have added ranged boss mechanics that will target "outer circle" players such as Archers and Casters, forcing them to also dodge boss mechanics like melee players.

Awakened Sharptooth and Hideout Quest Released
These quests have a 3 day cooldown with a Tier 5 Quest Box.

Quality of Life Changes
You can now start a conversation with an NPC simply just right clicking them (This is actually already live).
Animated Text will no longer group together (easier to see damage output).
When you open a container, it will no longer open the entire thing.


Misc Changes
Kraken Tentacle health buffed by 800%, Kraken Tentacle Spell Radius' increased by 50%. 
Kraken armor will now be used similar to a prismatic token to enhance reforged mastercrafted equipment into Kraken Armor, keeping it's regrade and rarities.
Lord of the Elements rift removed from rifts.
